On February 16, Berytech, in partnership with UIR-Web science department of Saint-Joseph University, welcomed Mr. Francis Pisani, a leading expert, blogger and Journalist, around a conference entitled “Innovation and social media”, hosted at the campus of Innovation and Sport, USJ.

Author, blogger, speaker, consultant, Pisani aims at analyzing the evolution of information technology and communication since the "prehistory" of the web, from nearly 20 years.
From Mexico to San Francisco, via Cairo, Mumbai and Johannesburg, to Lebanon, Pisani visited over 30 cities in the last year sharing his exceptional experience in journalism, blogging and social media, and discovering the unknown alternatives that flourish around the world, referring to the context in which people can create, innovate and make a change.

The next day following the successful conference, Berytech welcomed Mr. Pisani, for a round table discussion with entrepreneurs, exposing the experience of their startups with the digital world, the challenges they face and questions they have. Pisani, was very interested by the discussion, learning more on web and technology landscape in Lebanon and sharing his expertise and advice with the audience. Encouraged by the dynamism and passion of entrepreneurs, Pisani declared: “I am very pleased to meet you all and know about your interesting ventures and would like to record your testimonial on your perception of innovation”.
A tour of Berytech followed, meeting tenants and discovering the structure of the technological pole and its working environment.
