Organized during Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) Lebanon (http://gewlebanon.org) 2011, another Mowgli Mentorship Experience (MME) was successfully concluded at the Coral Beach Hotel & Resort Beirut, between Sunday November 20 and Tuesday November 22, matching 12 local entrepreneurs with 12 mentors coming from Lebanon, UK, Jordan and UAE.
More than 60 applicants were screened for this program, out of which a selected few got pre-selected and subsequently interviewed jointly by Berytech and Mowgli.
The MME spanned 3 days; the mentors arrived on Saturday evening, and started a round-table discussion with the facilitators, Ian Prosser and Simon Edwards, each answering the question: “what lead you here”. The next days were working sessions with the mentors and then with the mentees when they joined on Monday morning.

The matching of the pairs was announced on Monday night, right before dinner, and then each “couple” started to bond their relationship during the remainder of the program.

On Tuesday, the mentor-mentee pairs went through personal timelines exchange, action planning, and worked on the entrepreneur’s elevator pitch, and giving feedback.

The venue Coral Beach also witnessed a Mentoring Clinic on Monday, 21st November at 7:00 -08:30 pm led by Ian Prosser to which were invited exclusively all Mowgli mentors who attended the last mentoring experiences. The main objective of the session was to:
• provide Mowgli mentors with additional knowledge and mentoring skills
• share stories and address any common challenges you as mentors may be experiencing
• discuss feedback so far
• network with mentors from all past programs

All the mentors felt refreshed and inspired in their mentoring role, they were able to identify and explain their mentees needs and how best to support them effectively in achieving their goals, as well as developing their ability and confidence to mentor. |
