In the framework of Global Entrepreneurship Week, and in line with support to entrepreneurs and SMEs, Berytech launched the second edition of the “Entrepreneurs Forum”, organized with the support of IDAL, on Wednesday November 16, at the Technological Pole, gathering around 250 entrepreneurs and startups looking to get inspiration, start a business or take their existing enterprise to the next level.
The forum started with a launching ceremony entitled “Invitation to an entrepreneurship journey” led by H.E Mr. Jihad Azour, Former Minister of Finance & Partner, Booz & Co, Dr. Nicolas Rouhana, Director of Berytech and Mr. Nabil Itani, Chairman & General Manager, IDAL.

Introducing the forum, Dr. Rouhana stated “lots of people have ideas, but very few choose to act upon them. That’s why I want to stop here and applaud you, because you are obviously one of the lucky few who have decided to dream and do! And most importantly you have come to the right place. Because that’s where you will find support, advice, counseling and funding to take your idea or business to the next level.”
A networking cocktail followed gathering all attendees, preparing themselves for the forum’s program.
One the one hand, participants got the chance to attend inspirational seminars covering exciting topics for entrepreneurs such as “entrepreneurship at the core”, “Mastering challenges of leadership”, “Becoming a Technopreneur in 30 min”, “Innovating online marketing” and more.

On the other hand, visitors built fruitful contacts connecting with institutions and partners who provided the right support for their ideas, project or established businesses.

In addition, several dynamic activities took place inspiring the audience, creating interaction between participants and senior experts sharing mentorship experience, business advice and coaching in areas such as brand development, business planning, law, taxation, financial services, intellectual property, franchise and online marketing.

Finally, this forum offered the opportunity to turn ideas into startup projects with the “Seedup Your Startup” program, initiated by Berytech Fund, where applicants had to pitch their idea in 3 min and convince a panel of jury that it is a successful proposition, having the opportunity to win seed fund investment and receive a follow up and support from Berytech where two teams won, represented by Mrs. Sandra Salame and Mr. Gilbert Tegho,
