 Berytech organized a 3-day workshop entitled “Entrepreneurship for Scientists and Engineers in Lebanon”, in collaboration with the ESCWA Technology Centre (ETC), the National Council for Scientific Research (NCSR) and Lebanese Industrial Research Achievements programme (LIRA), on September 21st.
This program aimed at introducing the process of innovation, protection of intellectual property, technology transfer and commercialization of inventions to a group of scientists and engineers.
More than 45 academics, scientists and industrialists attended this event, coming from major institutions and universities in Lebanon, sharing lectures, panel discussions, group activities and role plays, led by local and international experts.
Sessions tackled entrepreneurship topics covering the ecosystem in Lebanon, local culture, opportunities, challenges and problems.

Following the launch of the Global Social Venture Competition, Daniele Diab, Founder of Myschoolpulse, was selected by ESSEC Business School, for having the best social entrepreneurship project amongst applicants from Lebanon and the region, in 2011, thus, having the opportunity to benefit from a targeted coaching program and technical assistance to develop the project successfully.
