On June 28, 2011, Dr. Nicolas Rouhana was invited on behalf of Berytech to deliver a keynote speech about “Opportunities for techno-preneurs” in parallel with IEEE ComSoc Student competition 2011 that took place at Notre Dame University (NDU), Zouk Mosbeh campus, gathering senior business students from various universities as well as faculty members and instructors.
The topic focused on the opportunities and challenges of becoming a tech-entrepreneur in Lebanon and the support system that Berytech and Lebanon can provide in terms of counseling, hosting, incubation and access to funding.
Dr. Rouhana gave an overview of some of Berytech’s upcoming activities, namely the Regional Academy for Young Entrepreneurs (RAYE), which will take place from July 20 to 22, to which Berytech offered the winning team of the IEEE competition free vouchers to participate. He also showed success stories of techno-preneurs that passed by Berytech and how they made it happen.

A dynamic Q&A session ensued, in which the audience put forth queries around entrepreneurship and the support services Berytech provides.
A prize draw took place at the end of the session, allowing participants to win also one “attendance” prize offered by Berytech. |
