On May 10 and 11, Berytech participated in a Workshop on Promoting and Benchmarking the ICT Sector in the ESCWA Region which took place at the UN house with local and regional consultants and stakeholders in the ICT sector.

The workshop discussed that situation of the ICT sector in the region, and the approaches in maintaining and developing their ICT strategies. It looked at indicators and findings from research assessing the penetration of ICT in the economy as well as households.

It also highlighted the reliance of knowledge-based economies on developed and cost-effective ICT infrastructures providing challenges, priorities and perspectives both from the public sectors and the business community.
