What is the activity of Equatech?

Equatech is the subsidiary and the technology department of Equadis, Swiss based Company. It is in charge of all the IT aspects of our web based application. This covers a very wide range of activities : R&D for implementing new technologies, project management, managing technical relationships with European customers (going MNC as Mars, kronenbourg, Carrefour, Monoprix…to SME’s), consulting activities and web development.
We have more than 10 people working for European customers

What are the biggest challenges you faced starting up and how did you overcome them?
It is linked to the political situation When we set up the company, it was in March 2005 and it was difficult with all the major political changes, to keep the team focusing on delivering on time to our European customers. And now, it is something that that doesn’t especially bother me.

What do you enjoy most from your stay in Berytech?
The serenity of the environment, contacts and exchange with other companies and the view from our office on Beirut. In addition, the support provided by Berytech on all logistics aspects and infrastructure as well as professional events and trainings organized. This makes us focused on running and developing our business. I would also state the physical proximity with the universities.

What are the best things about running a business?
The daily challenge of making the customers satisfied with our service and finding new and innovative solutions

Where do you see your company in the coming five years?

As Equadis major markets are in Europe, we’re thinking of establishing as base for a Middle East expansion with adapting our product to the local needs and constraints bringing major innovation in B2B and SaaS.
