Introduction of Edulab tools during lunch honoring Lebanese educational institutions. Print

ImageBerytech welcomes the Director General of the Ministry of Education with High-Level School Authorities in Lebanon and Introduces the Educational Tools of Edulab

Over a luncheon held at the Technological Pole Mar Roukoz, Berytech gathered around one table the directors of the largest school insitutions in Lebanon and representatives of the Ministry of Education, including the Director General, Mr. Fadi Yarak and Dr. Leila Fayad, Director of the Center for Educational & Research Development (CERD).

Mr. Maroun N. Chammas, President & CEO of Berytech, welcomed the guests by emphasizing on the importance of collaboration between the incubator and schools to plant the seeds of entrepreneurship in the minds of young Lebanese schoolchildren. "For the best way to inspire your students and those aspiring entrepreneurs in Lebanon, he said, is to show them the way through the success achieved by other young entrepreneurs."

The founders of Edulab, Elie Chaaya and Dany Aouad presented the guests with educational software and e-learning solutions for students and teachers in schools. The available CDs presently feature three scientific topics: physics, chemistry and biology, and include animated and simulated data to complement the concepts taught in class and engage the learner.

Edulab whose mission is to promote education to meet future challenges and needs of this sector by providing digital tools in accordance with the national curriculum, was incubated and supported by Berytech since its startup phase and has received an investment from the Berytech Fund which acquired 30% stake in the company providing it with strategic support in business development efforts.

At the gathering, Mr. Yarak stressed the importance of pursuing the techological dialogue started by the ministry some time ago with a number of stakeholders, inviting participants to continue this constructive interaction beyond this session, to successfully integrate the technologies of today and tomorrow in the Lebanese educational curriculum. "Berytech is a living model of Lebanese entrepreneurial spirit, he said. It allows skills to flourish and grow and Edulab is a living proof. Thanks to this support, the Lebanese youth can now export its know-how rather than its bright-minded people".
