On July 20, 2010, Berytech organized a discussion around Strategy & Competitive Advantage, animated by Pierre Obeid, CEO of ForeLogix and attended by dozens of community members as well as friends of Berytech.
The interactive session addressed managers' common misconceptions about strategy and focused on company’s unique positioning and environment scanning.
With references to the frameworks of Michael Porter, the leading authority on company strategy and the competitiveness of nations and regions, Pierre Obeid engaged the participants in interesting reflections over what is strategy v/s what is not, the competitive advantage of companies and the five forces analysis.

The session received a warm welcome by a large number of community members in addition to guests from different industries including Finance, Education, Publishing, IT and Software solutions, Consulting, Pharmaceutical and Human Resources. The audience highly commended the event and requested that it be followed by further sessions.
About the speaker:
Pierre Obeid is principal founder and CEO of ForeLogix, a Business and Technology Service Provider, helping Telcos and Banks in the Middle East and North Africa align their technology with their business strategy. Prior to that, he had held the position of Chief Technical Officer at Cell C, South Africa’s third mobile operator.
Mr. Obeid is a Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program graduate, with a Telecom Engineering background, holding a Masters Degree In Telecommunications from ENST Bretagne. |
