Berytech participated in the 1st Euro-Mediterranean Congress of Young Entrepreneurs entitled the “Multi-country seminar on SME framework” in Barcelona, on June 17-18, 2010.

The congress aimed to discuss and generate concrete proposals on how to convert and train a Euro-Mediterranean SME to compete in a global world, specifically from the perspective of young entrepreneurs and taking into consideration the upcoming Small Business Act and the Best European Practices.

The audience included members of the board of European and Mediterranean associations of young entrepreneurs or government decision makers with responsibilities on young entrepreneurs business.

This platform presented a meeting point for discussions with businessmen and entrepreneurs from different countries, who are at a similar initial business, with common problems. These factors allowed sharing, discussing and proposing lines of improvement in the security to be heard in decision-making forums. It was also a point for increasing mutual knowledge and potential strategic alliances.
The participants were divided into 5 workshop groups, each one tackling a specific subject from legislation to infrastructure to finance to ICT where Berytech took part.

In conclusion to this event, a document has been created reflecting the main problems facing young European entrepreneurs planning to grow their businesses, discussing the importance of each of them and proposing measures to resolve them as well as follow up actions.
