On Tuesday June 22, 2010, the Swiss Ambassador accompanied by the “commercial attaché”, visited the technological pole, aiming at learning more about Berytech entrepreneurial environment as well as meeting startup companies and SMEs.

The guests were particularly encouraged to meet with a Swiss company hosted in Berytech, Equatech, which is the branch of Equadis, based in Geneva. This company is a leading European provider of e-catalog, developing and managing Software as a Service, allowing streamlining and enhancing a paperless supply chain between FMCG Suppliers and retailers. The branch based in Lebanon handles all the IT operations and applications covering from maintenance to offering services and consulting to Equadis customers.
During this meeting, the chairman of Berytech as well as the Director, introduced the programs and activities organized for entrepreneurs and the vision towards strategic partnership with foreign institutions, offering more expansion opportunities to Lebanese startups.
A tour in Berytech premises followed, where the Ambassador was very interested by the building structure, the managerial organization, the facilities and the community of entrepreneurs.
