The Strategic Council of the Saint-Joseph University, consisting of high level Lebanese and international figures hailing from the economic, political and academic arena, visited Berytech on June 4, 2010.
The visit aimed at getting acquainted with Berytech’s journey in incubation and entrepreneurship since its inception in 2002, as well as understanding the challenges of its management and its entrepreneurs in residence.

In the first part of the visit, the council members met behind closed doors with the management team of Berytech where a rundown of the institution’s history, achievements and programs was presented and where the vision of Berytech was highlighted.

The session concluded with the testimonial of three hosted technology entrepreneurs who presented innovative business ventures on the cutting edge of technology.

A cocktail gathering council members with Berytech’s entrepreneurs and staff members followed. Guests mingled in groups in the large hall and on the terrace overlooking Beirut, while the entrepreneurs had the chance to introduce their companies and share their passion with the visitors.

The council members counted a number of high-level economic figures, such as Mr. Nasser Saidi, former Minister of Economy & Trade and former Vice-Governor at the Central Bank and Mr. Carlos Ghosn, the CEO and President of Renault of France and Nissan of Japan, political figures such as Mr. Marwan Hamadeh, former Minister of Telecommunications and Mrs. Nayla Moawad, MP, and last but not least, local and international Academic figures.
The visitors were impressed with the entrepreneurial potential and the number of initiatives in Lebanon. They expressed their optimism regarding the promising impact that will reflect positively on the local and regional economy.
Commenting on this visit, Mr. Carlos Ghosn declared « Congratulations for this concept and for the professional and rigorous performance. Berytech offers a great opportunity for all the talented entrepreneurs in Lebanon ».
