On Monday June 7, 2010, Berytech hosted a Power Breakfast in honor of Mr. Neal Wolin the US Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, accompanied by the Chargé d’affaires of the US Embassy as well as a delegation of US officials.
The debate, which witnessed the participation of a dozen Berytech-based entrepreneurs, centered on the concerns of the Lebanese entrepreneur and the challenges of accessing today’s global economy. The lack of broadband capacity and connectivity at affordable rates, the power grid, as well as government constraints were amongst recurrent challenges.
The delegation was impressed with the enthusiasm and passion of the entrepreneurs they encountered. They also appreciated the cross pollination factor amongst the companies that make use of the vibrant environment that Berytech has created to work jointly on projects and resort to each other’s services.

Upon the conclusion of the session, Wolin was presented with a trophy of appreciation for his visit. “Thank you for hosting me for a great visit, he declared. I was greatly impressed by the energy and vibrancy of Berytech and its entrepreneurs. Your organization serves as an important example of how, when properly harnessed and supported, small business entrepreneurs can provide important goods and services than will help this country grow”.
