The second Berytech – Mowgli mentorship session took place from May 24 to 27, matching 6 mentors to 6 Berytech-based entrepreneurs in an experience intended to inspire, empower and support them.
The first part of the session involved the mentors only, providing them with knowledge and tools to participate successfully in this experience. In the second part of the week, mentors and mentees were paired during an accelerated relationship-building activity, which was followed by one-to-one sessions. The pairs worked on understanding each other while the mentee went about setting a business proposition as well as personal development plans coupled with measurable goal.

This experience took place in sunny Bekaa. Participants enjoyed the amenities of the West Bekaa Country Club, and some of the activities were conducted during long walks along sinewy dirt roads, bordered with sun-soaked vineyards. The mentors and organizers also had the occasion to visit one of the local vineyards and sample Lebanese wine right at the source.

The weeklong session concluded in a public assembly, in which the pairs shared their impressions and objectives with the rest of the participants.Going forward, each mentee will drive the experience, while his/her mentor will react to the goals and objectives and provide support in achieving them. Further interaction will take place by phone calls, emailing and messaging over a period of one year.

“For me the most important thing about this experience is the fact that I am now accountable to my mentor, with whom I have a structured relationship for a whole year. There will be no forgetting about the commitments and agreements that were made during the time we spent together -either I deliver on my promises or I lose face!”, said Alex Azzi, one of the entrepreneur-mentees and winner of a Berytech Incubation Grant. “Overall I believe the Mowgli Mentorship program is a very powerful system indeed”, he concluded.
" I have learned so much about myself and my business in just two days. I never imagined I could sort out all the ideas
I had in my head for a year now, in just one afternoon. This is wonderful, " said Ramzi Barakat, Founder of B, a creative boutique. |
