In each of the conferences, the Philips innovation program was introduced by Mr. Peter DeBenedictis, Area Marketing Officer at Philips, offering a competitive process to stimulate local talent and young innovative entrepreneurs to develop solid business concepts supported by advanced technology innovations. Interested candidates can apply to the program before end of May 2010. Winners will have the opportunity to develop their business case within Philips’ High Tech Campuses, all expenses paid.

On the other hand, incubation opportunities, facilities and support for entrepreneurs were elaborated by Berytech.

The 2010 road show comprised the following stops: University of Saint-Joseph, Notre Dame University, American University of Beirut, Lebanese American University and American University for Science & Technology.

This initiative will help promote innovation and entrepreneurship across the Arab world, creating ultimately jobs, stimulating talented young Arab entrepreneurs, thus, contributing to future sustainable economic growth.
