Rana, a young and dynamic graphic designer would like to share some great advice about running her own company and gives us an insight in the life of a young entrepreneur.
Ghada Moubarak: What prompted you to start Evibes ?
Rana Shehabeddine: I actually quit my full time job to keep up with the freelancing projects that were flooding my inbox. It all came so fast after that. From one project to the next, until the step of starting my own business was the best next thing to do.
GM: What are your long-term goals? How do you think Berytech is helping you to reach your aim?
RS: We plan on growing bigger without compromising on the quality of clients that we have. We are selective and we understand that this comes at a price. Berytech has been the perfect nest for us, since it's a very professional environment where we meet people of the same caliber as our clients. The facilities that we have allow us to focus more on our business and creative work.
GM: What do you need right now to take Evibes further? What are the resources you would need to achieve that?
RS: We are always on the lookout for new creatives, new blood in Evibes. I wish there was a human resource department, or recruitment facilities, at Berytech that would help us hire good people. The load of work is becoming heavier and unfortunately we don't have enough time to look for good candidates.
GM: What is the best advice you have for new or future entrepreneurs setting up their first business?
RS: I would say if you're obsessing about having your own space, then it's probably the time to do it. Berytech is a great place to start, engaging with the right type of people. Getting exposure on a professional level is an invaluable gift that Berytech has to offer.
