Berytech Fund signed a new equity investment with Active Identity, a technology startup specialized in UHF Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).

Active Identity was launched by four Lebanese partners of which Mr. George Khalil who acts as Managing Director. The company is a pioneer in providing UHF Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) products and services to customers in retail, consumer goods, manufacturing, defense, transportation and logistics, pharmaceuticals, and other industries. Organizations can use Active Identity’s RFID solutions to automate and improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and security of their supply chains, logistics, and asset tracking operations.

The investment will not only consist of cash injection against equity, but also an active and continuous support to the management team of the company, as well as technical assistance and access to international markets.

The two parties were introduced to each other at the Investor-Project Matching sessions organized by InfoPro - Business Development Services, held during the latest Business Opportunities in Lebanon conference which took place on October 6-7, 2009 and which Berytech Fund had attended.
