On Tuesday February 2, 2010 Berytech hosted a lunch-discussion in honor of H.E. Mrs. Michele Sison, US Ambassador to Lebanon, gathering a number of Berytech entrepreneurs, executives as well as US Embassy staff members.

The discussion hinged around the concerns of today’s entrepreneurs and the challenges they face in accessing the international economic arena. Such challenges include access to a wider and more cost effective broadband capacity, access to US markets for partnership and to regional projects.

The Entrepreneurship Summit, which will take place in the month of April under the auspices of US President Barak Obama, and which Berytech will attend along with six other delegates from Lebanon, was part of the discussion as well.

The Ambassador visited as well the Internet Exchange Point hosted in Berytech.

Mr. Chammas presented the Ambassador with a trophy of appreciation for her visit and concern in Lebanese entrerpreneurship.

Upon the conclusion of the visit, Mrs. Sison thanked the President of Berytech, Mr. Maroun Chammas, for putting such an informative and inspiring round table. “We remain committed to promoting economic growth and supporting job creation in Lebanon, she declared; and look forward to continuing to work with you”.
