Berytech took an active part in the Beirut Marathon that witnessed on Sunday December 6, 2009 the participation of tens of thousands of runners, powered with the spirit of love, challenge, faith, and hope.

At 10.00 AM, a group of over 20 participants from the Berytech team and member companies was at the departure line of the 10K Fun Run, equipped in a full attire of Berytech branded T-shirts and caps. The group had one thought in mind: making it to the finish line in spite of the rainy and windy weather. All the members managed to stay together throughout the whole journey, even if at times it was really a challenge due to the changing weather and the large number of participants. The charm of Beirut streets and the motivation of all the participants carried the group to the finish line where they were welcomed and applauded by the Marathon organizers.
 

“It is time to run” was the Beirut Marathon slogan for this year. Although Berytech chose to adapt it and say: It is time to run your own business. With this spirit, it had actively promoted participation in the Marathon. Numerous emails were sent to the community encouraging them to participate, elevator stickers were posted and Berytech branded Marathon t-shirts and caps were offered to all Berytech participants as well as 50% of the participation fees.

"As an entrepreneur, said Mr. Abouhabib of BPS on the starting line, we are accustomed to start new challenges every day, most important is to take the decision to go ahead and start. We will definitely reach our goal if we keep on trying and if we beleive in it."

“Despite the rain and the windy weather we followed the Marathon till the end. And we were very well protected by the caps!” quipped Youssef Kassab, member of the Berytech Team.
