PlayLebanon is an affiliate of the official Lebanese Lotto operator (La Libanaise des Jeux s.a.l.) It’s objective is to develop alternative delivery channels for the official lottery products of the Lebanese Government (Lebanese Lotto, Zeed, Yanaseeb etc.).

PlayLebanon currently operates an e-commerce website (www.playlebanon.com) selling Lebanese Lotto and Zeed. The website also offers ancillary products (such as cellular phones recharge cards) and offers a whole range of support functions.

In parallel with its online operations, PlayLebanon has developed unique products in partnership with leading Lebanese banks, to help them enhance their fidelity programs by offering loto grids to eligible customers.

PlayLebanon has also developed a number of “offline” products such as the “104 Card” and others.


What are the biggest challenges you faced starting up and how did you overcome them?

Challenges are numerous and of various natures. It started with “strategic challenges” (designing a successful business model, bringing the right partners on board, identifying the market, developing and implementing the strategy etc.) then came the “Operating Challenges” (how to ensure safety, quality, continuity, support etc.) and the financial challenges.

Genuine hard work is what allowed PlayLebanon to overcome the above challenges. That’s what allowed PlayLebanon to successfully launch its operations, to become an eligible partner of “La Libanaise des Jeux”, an Eligible recipient of Berytech’s incubation awards and an eligible Kafalat Borrower.

The rest fell in place almost seamlessly.

Where do you see your company in the coming five years?

PlayLebanon has now reached a critical size that makes it a significant player in the Lebanese e-commerce industry. Within 5 years, through merger or internal growth, PlayLebanon should have developed a wide range of products and, we hope, should be “recognized” by 50% of the Lebanese Internet users.
