01 Barmaja is a company that builds specific software solutions tailored for your enterprise. Mr. Antoine Samaha, CEO of 01 Barmaja, explains to us his services and future projections.

What are the services/ solutions that you offer to customers?

01Barmaja is a software development company.

Along with our off-the-shelf solutions, we provide custom-made solutions to our clients. Thanks to our Model Driven Framework and our Test Driven Development process, we offer top quality, mature and cost-competitive solutions.

Our group is committed to meet any challenge in achieving results and client satisfaction.

We have recently launched a new powerful Enterprise Resource Planning solution called ‘Clear Cost Control’ and we concluded so far 2 agreements with 2 clients in different business activities: Project Management and Production Management. And we have successful feedbacks received from other prospects, attracted by the power of its modeling and the ease of its usage, that we met at the recently concluded exhibitions (GITEX 2008 - Dubai & TERMIUM 2008 – Lebanon).

Here is a brief description of our off-the-shelf software:

• Clear Cost Control: ERP integrated management solution. It covers various functional areas of a company including Engineering, Project Management, Production, Inventory, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sales, Finance, and much more along with Budget Control on an ongoing basis.

• SoftStones: AutoCAD plug-in tool for cutting sheets / BOQ automatic generation for different industries like marble, wood, etc...

• Laboratory Link Layers: dedicated to medical laboratories, it allows the communication between the analyzers and the Laboratory Information System.

What are your target markets? Do you plan on entering new markets?

We are based in Lebanon and well implemented in the Lebanese market where we count many clients and prospects on the off-the-shelf solutions as well as on the custom-made ones.

For the last 2 years, we participated at the GITEX exhibition in Dubai where we promote our products and we got the opportunity to meet many new major leads, from the UAE, who showed interest in our solutions and we are currently in the following up process with them. We plan to have business cooperation with a talented and well established IT service provider based in Dubai to ensure a qualified assistance and support for our clients.

From my professional contacts in Paris, we also had the chance to provide a custom solution for one of the leading European sustainable development company.


How do you differentiate yourself from competition?

When I founded my company, I knew I’m choosing a very exciting business that has many competitors. And this is what gives us every day more and more challenges to draw and to bypass. We always look for innovation and for perfection in all our solutions and services.

1- We can provide a software solution in a top quality and in a timely manner thanks to our model driven framework which facilitates extremely our developments.

2- In our business, we encounter powerful software from other providers but from the feedbacks we got they are difficult to use and they need dedicated engineers to use them.

In every new functionality we add to our solutions, we look very closely to its user friendliness.

3- We are committed to listen to our clients’ needs and to provide them with a customized solution that meets those needs even for our off-the-shelf solutions.

Particularly for our ERP solution Clear Cost Control, where we have well known competitors, I can say that:

How did Berytech help you to establish you start up business?

After 8 years of experience in Paris, I came back home and Berytech helped me make my dream come true. In December 2004, I won the price of incubation award for the innovative project “SoftStones”. This allows me to establish quickly my start up.
Berytech provides a quality environment for the young and growing enterprises hosted in its premises along with marketing and technical assistance, allowing a synergy between the different entrepreneurs. It also offers access to ICT forums, conferences, seminars, workshops and trainings.

Where do you see your enterprise three years from now?

I am very enthusiastic about the outcome of the different cases we are currently working on with our prospects for ‘Clear Cost Control’ solution. We believe they are very promising and we will continue putting all our efforts to strengthen it and to market it hoping it will become one of the leading solutions in project management, manufacturing and cost & time control.
