1- Program process, conditions and deliverables

• Criteria is set and reviewed by Philips
• Concepts presented must meet the established criteria
• Winners/innovators will be selected by a tripartite committee
• Once selected, innovators must submit a detailed project plan prior to their visit to Philips sites for evaluation
• Entrepreneurs will be given access to other start-ups, advanced research tools & publicly available patent databases, equipment suppliers, innovation & technology experts
• The prototype/technology will be evaluated based on Intellectual Property (IP) uniqueness, IP benchmarking, industrialization aspects and value chain processes
• The last phases of the Program comprises of supporting innovators in developing a business case presentation to the regional VC community with the aim of securing financial support to convert the concept and business case into reality and actual product solution
• Execution of concepts must take place in the Arab world

2- Submission Requirements

Applicants must keep in mind the following submission requirements:

• Applications should be Arab nationals, and will be accepted from independent entrepreneurs as well as university students who have a project idea or a concept that would be in line with the scope of Philips' business sectors (Healthcare, Lighting and Consumer lifestyle);
• Eligible candidates may be individuals or a group of individuals (up to 3) working as a team;
