From 17-23 November 2008, Berytech, in conjunction with thousands of institutions and millions of people around the globe, will take part in events organized on the occasion of UK-led entrepreneurship week.
The Week will create the world's next generation of entrepreneurs by inspiring people through activities and by connecting them through online social networks. This initiative is an extension of the government-backed UK's Enterprise Week, which has been running for the past four years and has helped half a million children learn about business.
Global Entrepreneurship Week will promote the benefits of unleashing young people's entrepreneurial ideas to address society's biggest issues, such as poverty, climate change and sustainability.
Berytech is featuring its participation in Global Entrepreneurship Week through two major activities: The Berytech Pavilion at Termium, BIEL, Lebanon’s premier ICT exhibition, showcasing a dozen Berytech member companies. This event will run from November 19 to 23, 2008 and will include numerous activities organized by the Professional Computer Association (PCA) on the sideline of the exhibit.

On this week also, Berytech is sponsoring and supporting the Science Park Managers’Conference taking place in Beirut on November 17 and 18, and gathering regional science park top executives, whose organizations actively support entrepreneurship in value-added sectors. Managers will meet over two days to exchange best practices in the field of Science Park management in order to better serve the entrepreneur community.
Last year, Berytech participated in a London event in which British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Carl Schramm of the Kauffman Foundation officially started the countdown to Global Entrepreneurship Week 2008. The event was attended as well by leading business figures and entrepreneurs from around the globe. |
