Berytech hosts conference on Intellectual Property PDF Print E-mail

Image On Wednesday October 9, 2008, Berytech hosted a conference by US attorney Dr. Mark Abumeri on Intellectual Property which gathered an audience of lawyers, entrepreneurs and university lecturers.

Conference contents were based on the state of IP practice in Lebanon and the nature of inquiries received from Lebanese inventors. It covered two main topics: recent developments in the U.S. patent system and practice where there has been significant legislations proposed.

Participants were highly interested in the contents of the conference and even urged Dr. Abumeri to consider practicing formally in Lebanon. Different questions on cautionary measures while patenting, the relevance of patenting in certain cases or changes in the invention while patenting were all addressed.
