About MAP solution

The Micro-enterprise Acceleration Program (MAP) is an initiative sponsored by HP and designed to speed up economic development in communities around the world. MAP provides micro-enterprises – businesses with up to ten employees – with the right training to be able to solve everyday business challenges, so they can grow and create new jobs.

Why micro-enterprises?
The smallest of small businesses represent a powerful economic engine. By learning how to apply information and communications technology (ICT) effectively, these businesses can overcome typical hurdles to growth, such as low productivity, a lack of competitiveness and the limited skill level of owners and workers.

What do enterprises receive at the MAP training?

By enrolling in MAP training, microenterprises receive privileged access to:

  • Immediately applicable hands-on training on how to use ICT to improve their business and growth
  • Apply ICT technologies to different business challenges and opportunities
  • Understand different ICT technology solutions that address different challenges businesses face
  • Understand the advantages and disadvantages of certain technologies
  • Evaluate and upgrade your skills using different ICT technologies
  • Evaluate your need for, or interest in, further knowledge, training, or ICT purchases
  • State-of-the-art HP technology
  • An online learning community with resources and tools to help sustain business growth
  • Small business online resources for IT solutions and best practices from HP
  • The MAP award program – which recognizes microenterprise best practices
