Berytech and Saint Joseph University (USJ) are proud to launch the Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC), in partnership with ESSEC Business School, a competition encouraging social entrepreneurship and contributing to the well being of the economy; The official launch ceremony was held on October 21st, at the Campus of innovation and sports, in presence of Pr. René Chamussy s.j., Rector of the USJ, Mr. Maroun N. Chammas, Chairman and CEO of Berytech, Prof. Thierry Sibieude, Professor and Chair of ESSEC social entrepreneurship as well as Ms. Sophie Keller, project manager.

On October 15th 2011 the Berytech Management Team organized its fall hiking trip to Kadisha Valley with the participation of Berytech's Chairman and executives, as well as resident community entrepreneurs.

Following its continuous mission to stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship, Berytech hosted TEDxBeirut at its premises, offering support to one of its kind event, aimed at bringing people and experts together to share inspiring talks around Technology Entertainment and Design, held on September 24th ,  thus, fulfilling entrepreneurs’ mind with great ideas, concepts and technologies.
 

In the framework of social media week, during the “Sciences, Gaming & Technology” conference, hosted at Berytech, on September 20, H.E M. Sehnaoui, Minister of Telecommunications, lead a press conference entitled “The launching of 3G testing phase in Lebanon”, addressing more than 400 attendees from university students to professionals and experts in the field of technology.
